This broke yesterday on a messageboard I read/admin, and the resultant thread was one of the funniest things I’ve read in years.

Fucking LOST WAGES. I can’t.

The fact that they were willing to allegedly spend that much money on ‘making it’ or ‘manufacturing themselves’ or whatever makes it that much harder for the other bands who actually are DIY and don’t ‘wish the labels would pay for everything’ and don’t spend 25k on ‘gear’ and pay people to promote them to death. They probably would pay Kasabian that £2k they are currently asking of bands who want to support them for 4 shows. What was the ‘training’ - do they have any interest in music at all? 

Yeah it is expensive to be in a band cos everyone’s trying to scam you all the time but though I’m very cynical I still believe it does help if you are passionate and have good, catchy, moving songs
