NME 1989 (Feb?) The Sundays and Throwing Muses single/tour.
Forgot to take down the date of this before I cut it out, can you believe the Sundays and Throwing Muses toured together? This is part of my trying-but-failing-to-not-romanticise-the-late-80s-early-90s series mainly because there were so many inspirational and talented female musicians being celebrated and promoted by the mainstream and alternative press. If only the NME had kept it up, there’d probably be more female musicians kicking about now. Now you’ve gotta perform a ritual sacrifice to stand a chance at getting a full page in the NME as a female musician.
